Seattle: May 29, 2007 -- Giant Campus, a recognized national leader in youth technology summer programming, announced today the launch of its Corporate Sponsorship Program. This program offers today's forward-thinking companies the chance to send 10 youth to Cybercamps - kids who normally would not have the means to attend.
A lot of lucky kids go off to summer program to learn, make friends, and create lasting memories. Camp can be a life-changing experience for many. Unfortunately, not every kid gets to go to summer program because they simply can't afford it. Giant Campus is working hard to create opportunities for kids of all backgrounds to attend our academically-rich and totally fun summer programs. In addition to providing significant discounts and financial assistance, Giant Campus is reaching out to corporations to help fill the gap and send kids to camp.
"Companies today are all too aware of the need to better educate our youth and provide them with technical and computer skills," says Pete Findley, CEO of Giant Campus. "The Corporate Sponsorship Program creates a win-win scenario for these kids and the companies that sponsor them. In fact, independent research has shown that Giant Campus curriculum and teaching methodologies increase critical thinking and problem solving skills among kids. These are two important abilities today's companies need in a competitive workforce.
With a decade of experience, and more than 45,000 youth participants, Cybercamps continues to strengthen its leadership role in the youth market with more than 60 locations nationwide. The goal is to send at least 50 kids to camp this year under the program, says Derek Doke, vice president for Giant Campus. That means we only need ten companies to step up and be part of this life-changing program. If we get more than ten, that means we can send even more kids to camp this summer.
Companies interested in sending 10 kids to camp this summer should contact Derek Doke,
