About Us

Watch an interview with founder and CEO Pete Findley, a 2007 finalist for Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

The Grand Vision
Now a nationwide leader in technology education, Giant Campus started small, with one computer camp for 125 kids at the University of Washington in the summer of 1997. That first program was the initial phase of an ambitious business plan created by founder and CEO Pete Findley, a UW graduate. Combining his love of technology and enthusiasm for teaching kids, Findley's grand vision earned him UW's Entrepreneur of the Year for 1997, and started his quest to redefine online education and offer entertaining and engaging technology training that kids couldn't find anywhere else.

Expanding Our Reach
In 2001, as greater educational opportunities were discovered and new partnerships forged, Cybercamps came under the big-tent concept of Giant Campus, and the company's clients grew to include school districts, corporations, and the U.S. military. Today, nearly 50,000 kids have participated in Cybercamps over the past decade at dozens of prestigious colleges and universities across the country and in several countries abroad including China, Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia. And our revolutionary approach to learning doesn't stop with young people - Giant Campus now teaches tens of thousands of adults each year using much of the same research-proven methodology.

Empowering People
From a school in Virginia to a Naval base in Hawaii, our customers range from a 10-year-old with dreams of becoming the next Bill Gates, to a grandmother learning to use a computer for the first time. Through our cutting-edge programs and commitment to constant innovation, Giant Campus empowers people with the 21st skills necessary to thrive in a technologically-driven global community.
