Faculty
John Hughes - Principal
Mr. Hughes holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington and Masters Degrees in Education and School Administration. Before moving into an administrator role, John was a special education teacher. He was honored with the Wells Fargo Educator of the Year Award in 2008 while teaching at Islander Middle School on Mercer Island, WA. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, rafting and other outdoor pursuits.
Cherith Imes - Director of Faculty
Ms. Imes holds a BS in Business from Brigham Young University, Hawaii and a Masters Degree in Education from Adams State College, Colorado. Before moving into the role of Director of Faculty at Giant Campus, Cherith was a business and technology teacher in both traditional and online settings. In her free time, she enjoys travel, hiking, biking, and snow skiing.
Jeanette Hawkinson - Technology Instructor
Ms. Hawkinson received a Bachelors of Science degree in business education from Viterbo University and a Masters in education technology from Full Sail University. She has been teaching for Giant Campus since 2009 and has taught in both online and "bricks and mortar" schools since 2005. When she's not teaching, Ms. Hawkinson coaches junior ice hockey teams.
Chris Frisbie - Technology Instructor
Mr. Frisbie holds a B.A. in History and Secondary Education, a Masters in Health Education, and is completing a second Masters in eLearning Design and Implementation. He has taught social studies and technology for 9 years, in both traditional and virtual schools. In his spare time, he enjoys photography and playing guitar.
Kathey Hatfield - Business Instructor
Ms. Hatfield earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Central Washington University. She has taught Business and Marketing for 13 years, and has been involved in both FBLA and DECA. She's also been an adjunct instructor at Central Washington University and Yakima Valley Community College. In her free time, she enjoys browsing bookstores and trying new recipes.
