Phil Upperman
Regional Director of Military Programs
Dr. Phil Upperman has more than 30 years experience as an educator, organizational leader, executive and operations officer, program manager, trainer, and professor. A former senior military officer and university chair, he has a proven track record in systems and fiscal management, individual and organizational training and educational development. Phil has been with Giant Campus since 2006 as a Region Director and Contract Manager, responsible for on-site and online education and recreation at military installations. He has designed courses for home school, elementary school, and after school programs, enhancing student classroom performance by leveraging technology across the curriculum. He holds a doctorate of education with an emphasis in developmental education and leadership from Seattle University. He also holds a master's degree in education/counseling psychology from Washington State University and a master's degree in business management from Troy University. He is also a graduate of several military leadership and developmental schools, including the Army's Command and General Staff College.
